The 'Digital Transformation or Digital Transition' refers to an era characterized by the transformation of processes from analog to digital that will radically change our habits.
Certainly, one aspect to analyze with particular attention is that the use of technologies offered by large corporations forces companies to share their data which is then used to undermine the processes of change or development of local economies.
The question we must ask ourselves, therefore, is not whether or not to accept this challenge, because this is a mandatory step, but to understand whether the current production system is able to maintain its competitiveness and whether, instead, it will give in under the pressure of large corporations.
Winning this challenge is not easy at all but it is not impossible either, everything will depend on our innovative and organizational capabilities, which must be trained and which must be based on new models of sharing intangible resources.
We are talking about Open Innovation platforms, technologies that can be shared, as they are replicable and scalable, which present enormous benefits, such as, by way of example and not limited to, the possibility of reducing costs and increasing competitiveness, as the development of software applications is participatory and the data is managed to generate synchronicity, or rather, opportunities.
